Pensacola Florida Wahoos AA for Cincinnatti Reds

Got here for a shopping visit, as the team was not in town while I was here.  this is a beautiful Bayfront stadium, built 2 years ago, and what a place to play baseball!

Pensacola has seemed to really adopt its new team- the last time I was here a couple of years ago, the Pensacola Pelicans played here, an Independent league team.  This is now big time baseball for Pensacola!

The team has had several identities, but I suspect they will settle down here:

Got a ball and pin here today.

Port St Lucie Mets

Date of visit:   Monday, April 9th 2012

We originally just stopped here to get a ball and pin, but decided later to come back and do a game.  The Mets played the Charlotte Stone Crabs, and won on a walk off homer in the bottom of the ninth!

The Mets are the High A affiliate of the New York club, and have played here since 2009- there were only 571 folks there tonight!
Beautiful stadium, free parking!  8.00 for our seats.  Coop got 4 balls tonight.

Our seats were in Section 108, behind the dugout, but the better seats would have been down in section 110.  Coop roamed the stadium as he does for most of the game.  Got 2 balls at the end of the game!
Temperature at game time was 74, down to 71 at the end of the game.

Did get a logo ball here, but they didn't have a hat pin.

Revisit- Jacksonville Suns AA for Marlins

Date of visit:  Saturday, April 7th, 2012

Cooper and I ran up to catch a nite game with the Huntsville Stars tonight, a revisit to this stadium.  This is a 39 million dollar stadium, and it is right next to the old Gator Bowl in downtown Jacksonville.  Ample parking, $7.00.  Today was "glove day", which we weren't aware of beforehand, so Coop got a nice new glove.
Nice crowd tonight, the game temps were a bit chilly and breezy, temps were about 72 at the start and down to maybe 66 by the end of the game.

The Suns lost the game, 3-1-  no home runs tonight, lots of hits, actually.  Posted attendance was 5500.
